So far I have developed skills and knowledge mainly with people. I have been working in HR business for around 11 years, focusing on International Mobility, Data Quality (SAP - HR) and mainly in Rewards (Comp. & Benefits). I have grown fond of HR and believe that an effective HR strategy is a key factor to company success, since it impacts directly in the most important resource of all: people.
I believe that a solid pay structure built to fit organizational specific moment and needs is key element to boost talent attraction and retention. Not only that, the way companies pay their employees tells much about what that company values most, therefore it can also be a strong communication tool and will deliver messages to employees that may speak louder than words in many occasions. Further on the subject, I believe that salary and benefits are a part of a much larger concept, where clear communication, talent development, relationship with leaders, organizational culture and other important factors also play important roles and are part of the total rewards approach, fundamental to optimize achievements in every sector in any company, through motivated and well paid employees who understand their role and achieve/surpass their goals.
It is important that Rewards professionals keep striving to achieve these more integrated ways of managing rewards in organizations in order to deliver even more value.
